What To Expect From Your Virtual Tour Shoot

A 360° virtual tour starts with great photography—but the real magic happens when everything comes together just right. From preparing your property to delivering the final, immersive experience, here’s what you can expect every step of the way.

Before the shoot

Preparing your property

Make sure your space is looking its best. A few simple steps can make a big difference:

  • Declutter rooms and clear all surfaces
  • Tidy or hide cables, bins, and personal items
  • Straighten furniture, cushions and bedding
  • Remove anything that could distract from the space
  • Add subtle touches—fresh flowers, neat towels, or a well-placed book

Lighting and timing

Great lighting helps every space shine. To help us get the best results:

  • Shoots are scheduled during daylight hours wherever possible
  • Switch on all indoor lights, including lamps
  • Open blinds and curtains to let in natural light
  • Replace any blown lightbulbs ahead of the shoot

Outdoor areas count too

Don’t forget kerb appeal—it’s part of the story:

  • Move bins, vehicles, or garden tools out of shot
  • Sweep up leaves or tidy garden furniture
  • Ensure access is clear to patios, balconies, or garden areas
  • Keep outdoor lighting on if relevant

On the day

What we’ll do

We’ll arrive ready to capture your space in the best light:

  • Begin with a quick walk-through to plan the shoot
  • Capture 360° images using unobstrusive equipment (camera, monopod, colour balance tools)
  • Carefully photograph each area from one or more key positions
  • Work quickly and efficiently to minimise disruption
  • Ensure the final tour flows naturally from room to room

What we’ll need from you

A smooth shoot depends on a few small asks:

  • Make sure the property is fully clean and shoot-ready
  • Ensure no people or pets are in shot
  • Provide access to all areas to be included
  • Secure or move any items you don’t want featured
  • Have someone available on-site in case we need assistance

Additional tips for a flawless tour

A little preparation goes a long way:

  • Fluff cushions and straighten picture frames
  • Wipe surfaces, mirrors, and windows
  • Remove seasonal or time-sensitive items (e.g. holiday decorations)
  • Check every room from the viewer’s perspective—less is often more
  • Treat it like an open house, the only difference being your visitor could be anywhere in the world

After the shoot

What happens next

Once the photos are taken, we turn them into a seamless virtual experience:

  • All images are professionally edited and stitched
  • Your tour is built, tested, and hosted for you
  • For most tours you can expect delivery within 48–72 hours
  • You’ll receive a link and embed code ready to use on:
    • Your website
    • Booking platforms
    • Social media

Optional upgrades

Add extra functionality and polish with:

  • Branding
  • Embedded booking links
  • Interactive hotspots with pop-up info or links
  • Images uploaded to Google Maps or your Google Business Profile
